Wednesday 24th August
Create your own flower press with Georgie. Learn how to press different types of plants and create your own design using fresh flowers. By the end of the workshop, you will have created a collaborative collage artwork and have your own flower press to take home with you.
Suitable for 7 year old children and upwards. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There will be plenty of tea and coffee, and space to sit and relax whilst your young person takes part in the workshop. Ticket includes the accompanying adult.

Wednesday 24th August
Make wonderful cyanotypes and learn the process of capturing shapes, patterns and images to paper via blueprint that you can take home with you. Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes and produce distinctive features as the print is exposed to UV light.
We ask students to be sensible when working with the chemicals.
Suitable for 9 year olds and upwards. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There will be plenty of tea and coffee, and space to sit and relax whilst your young person gets involved in the workshop. Ticket includes the accompanying adult.

Wednesday 24th August
Who needs to arrange flowers into a vase when you can arrange them into a tea cup instead? Floral tea cup arrangements make lovely table displays or a gift to a family member. You'll be able to use your choice of flowers and colours to add flowers in an artistic and creative style into floral foam inside your tea cup, to take home and enjoy.
Please bring along your own tea cup to fill with flowers (complete with saucer if you choose)!

Thursday 25th August
Come and join in this drawing class with Ruth. This session provides children and their parents/ carers with the opportunity to draw plants from real life.
We will discuss tips for drawing from observation and get to try out different mark making with pens and water. All children and adults use the same initial stimulus and teaching points but are then encouraged to be creative and give their own individual responses.
Suitable for 5-11 years olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There will be plenty of tea and coffee, and space to sit and relax whilst your young person takes part in the workshop. Ticket includes the accompanying adult.

Join us for the Let's Create Summer Special for some young-people-led free play as we build a garden sculpture at Kingshill House.
Let's Create provides a space that gives freedom for young-people to determine and control the content and intent of their play, by following their own instincts, ideas and interests. The activities are designed to encourage children and young people to use their imagination.
Bring your imagination and Let’s Create whatever you want.
Suitable for children and young adults of any age. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket price includes the accompanying adult.

Colour Collage Forest Art is an imaginative art session with Ruth. Each child and adult will learn about colour theory (complimentary colours) and then put this into practice by making their own creature that dwells in a forest. They will use googly eyes, paper and glue to create a forest friend. All children and adults use the same initial stimulus and teaching points but are then encouraged to be creative and give their own individual responses.
Suitable for 5-11 year olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. But there’s plenty of tea, coffee and space to sit and relax, giving your young person space to get on and enjoy the activity. Ticket price includes the accompanying adult.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own flower crown with fresh, beautiful and seasonal flowers? Chanel your inner boho chic and get the creative juices flowing with this floral crowns workshop.
You'll be able to choose your own colour theme and will be guided through the steps to make your very own floral headdress. There will be an array of fresh flowers for you to choose from, to allow you to customise the flower crown perfect for you; using your favourite choice of flowers and colours.
The art of flower crown making is extremely therapeutic and relaxing and the finished product is joyful and fun.
Suitable for 10-12 year olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There will be plenty of tea and coffee, and space to sit and relax whilst your young person gets involved the activity. Ticket price includes the accompanying adult.

Friday 26th August
What better way to spend Friday morning than by joining Zoe for storytelling and crafty fun!
Join Zoe for a story inspired by the awe and wonder of the world in which we live and then drop into the art room to indulge in some creative craft activities.
This activity is suitable for 3-5 year olds and all children need to be accompanied by an adult. There are three separate sessions taking place but you are more than welcome to take your time creating! Pre-booking is advisable but drop-ins are welcome.
