This summer Kingshill House is bringing you the Junior Creative Summer School, a three-day programme with workshops and activities for the aspiring creatives in your family. Each activity is carefully tailored to complement this year’s focus – Nature and the importance of our environment.
Nature provides countless opportunities for discovery, creativity and problem-solving. Come and learn a new skill, discover what nature has to offer and explore through different mediums of art. Each workshop advises the best age range to enjoy the activity and we ask that all parents accompany the young creatives throughout the workshop. But there’s plenty of tea, coffee and space to sit and relax, giving your young person space to get on and enjoy the activity. Please do speak to us if you have any questions about the day.
On Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th August our Nature Trail will be open for families to come and explore. There will be lots of fun activities to get involved with like:
Making a nature paintbrush/mark making tool
'Go Barefoot’ with our garden sensory textured walk
Making nature mandalas , land art and weaving
Leaf rubbing using wax pastels, crayons, pencils, foil and paper
Creating walnut shell boats
And a garden scavenger hunt – what will you spot?
Come to Kingshill House and pick up an activity sheet from us to start your exploration completing each task as you go. Suitable to children of all ages.
Please note that the Nature Trail will not be open until 12pm on Thursday 25th August due to the Let's Create Summer Special taking place in the garden.
