A wonderful way to spend your evening. Joe will support you through gentle stretching, warm-ups, forms, push hands and Neigong (internal work).
Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) is a Chinese martial art that uses gentle, flowing movements to create and balance inner energy (called Chi or Qi). It has mental, emotional and physical benefits, such as increased agility, self-confidence, better memory, mindfulness etc. Our moves sometimes may look almost like 'slow motion Kung Fu'. The core goal is always building and balancing our energy. Qigong exercises can support the healing of chronic illness, emotional stress, physical and spiritual well-being. Many Martial Arts (such as Kung Fu, and Taji Quan) have borrowed and contain many elements of Qigong.
For all abilities, and no experience necessary. No equipment needed, wear loose fitted clothing and light, flat shoes or trainers that you can move in.
Pre-booking is required but you can choose to pay online or in person. Classes are £8 per session.

Join Joe for a soothing Thursday morning meditation session.
Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) is a mind-body-spirit practice incorporating intention, breathing, and movement for mental and physical well being. Qigong uses gentle slow movements to encourage the meridians in the body to open and flow - the same points used in acupuncture. These movements promote and focus energy or Qi into the vital organs, ligaments, tendons, tissue, and muscle.
Meditation draws from chan (zen) meditation and includes standing, seated and walking meditation based on Buddhist and Taoist practices. Joe's teaching focusses on mindfulness, compassion and single pointed meditation and works both with those new to meditation and experienced practitioners. Meditation promotes concentration, clarity and a calm way of understanding the nature of all things, resulting in profound internal peace and positivity.
Pre-booking is required but you can choose to pay online or in person. Classes are £8 per session.
To pre-book, please contact Joe on 07814 371463 or drop him an email at joe.dymond@kingshillhouse.org.uk.
Join Sarah for 60 minutes of nourishing flowing movement, leaving you feeling balanced, connected and invigorated. Classes are vinyasa in style meaning there will be movement and flow as we look to move from one posture to another seamlessly, using breath. Each class will take a slightly difference focus, as we look to build from week to week, developing strength, flexibility and balance.
Classes are mixed ability and suitable for beginners. Class bookings are for the term, which is usually 6 weeks - £9 per class. Please email Sarah if you wish to be added to the list for next term and she will be in contact as soon as a space becomes available. From time to time one of class spaces do becomes available which may not be shown on her website, so if you are interested in trying a class before you commit to the term, do let her know. |

Natasha's Yoga Synergy classes are strong but gentle, resonating with the Sanskrit term “sthira sukham asanam” (be firm but calm). Natasha will guide you to establish fluidity and ease in movements, while developing strength, stability and a steady mind. The class incorporates a series of spinal movements to mobilise the spine, enhance blood flow and regulate the nervous system. Through regular practice you will learn to move the body consciously, one joint at a time by connecting to your centre, whereby all movements initiate from the navel spine (the core). Encouraging students to find comfort in asanas by adjusting the yoga practice to suit your body rather than manipulating your body to fit the posture. The class should leave you feeling a sense of Santosha (complete contentment and satisfaction with where you are in the present moment). “Breathe less, tense less, stretch less, think less” - Simon Borg Olivier |
