Oil Painting for Beginners
11 week course - Monday 13th January
1pm - 3pm
Brilliant for those who would love to give oil painting a try but not sure where to start.
In this course you will learn everything you need to get started in this exciting painting medium. Your experienced tutor will guide you every step of the way to give you the basic knowledge and skills that you need.
Oil painting can be confusing for the beginner painter. What colours should you buy (there are so many!)? When should you use paint thinner? How and when do you use painting mediums? All of these questions and many more will be answered in this course.
Your tutor, Warren Sealey, has years of experience teaching all levels of artists including beginners. He will make sure you come away with a solid understanding of everything you need to know to get started in oil painting.
Warren will lead you through carefully selected paintings in a variety of subject matter including still life and landscapes. He will demonstrate every step of the way so that the teaching is as clear as can be. This will be a fun, interesting and friendly course.
Start the new year by immersing yourself in a new hobby that will be with you for a lifetime!
Please note when booking that you will also need to purchase and bring along your own materials. A full kit list will be sent to you two weeks before the start of the course.
