Encourage small birds to your garden by weaving a delightful willow bird pod ideal for roosting.
The pod is created from locally sourced willow and will be made using a stake and strand method. We will also be created willow bird feeders using a plaiting technique.
About the day
Please bring an apron secateurs and a Stanley knife. The cost of this workshop includes a delicious light lunch. Please let our team know of any allergies or dietary requirements when you book your place.

Creative Summer School Soiree – Saturday 16th July, 6–8.30pm
At the end of the week, we welcome you to join us for a Summer School Soiree!
Students and tutors will be invited to exhibit their work at the House, enjoy a glass of fizz, and celebrate the variety of crafts made throughout the week. If you would like to exhibit the work that you have created during the Creative Summer School then please let your tutor or the Kingshill House team know. Works will be displayed for the Soiree evening only, and then you are free to take them home or collect them the following week.
About your tutor
Sarah Jayne is a willow sculptor based in Bristol, Sarah creates willow playhouses and large scale installations, some of her playhouses can be seen at Old Down Country Park. She loves teaching people how to turn a bunch of sticks into a work of art or a useful basket.
