Join Caroline for an enjoyable and creative hands-on day and make your very own beautiful copper-foiled bird in a nest!
Using the copper-foiling technique made so famous by Tiffany, you will make a glass bird and learn to create a copper wire and hazel twig nest for it to sit in. The nest is then soldered to a copper post to push into a pot or into the ground outside. There will be a choice of Caroline’s original bird designs for you to choose from including a Wren, Blackbird, Robin and Dove.
This is a guided day for those who already have some experience of glass cutting, it is however suitable for beginners to copper foiling as well as those who have some previous foiling experience.

What is Copper Foiling?
Copper-foiling involves scoring and shaping coloured glass, which is then wrapped in a self-adhesive copper tape. This is then tinned and all the pieces are soldered together creating 2D and 3D objects.
