Taijiquan & Qigong - Tuesday evening
A wonderful way to spend an evening at Kingshill House, Dursley, where your instructor Joe will support you through gentle stretching, warm-ups, forms, push hands and Neigong (internal work).
Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) is a Chinese martial art that uses gentle, flowing movements to create and balance inner energy (called Chi or Qi). It has mental, emotional and physical benefits, such as increased agility, self-confidence, better memory, mindfulness etc. Our moves sometimes may look almost like 'slow motion Kung Fu'. The core goal is always building and balancing our energy. Qigong exercises can support the healing of chronic illness, emotional stress, physical and spiritual well-being. Many Martial Arts (such as Kung Fu, and Taji Quan) have borrowed and contain many elements of Qigong.
For all abilities, and no experience necessary. No equipment needed, wear loose fitted clothing and light, flat shoes or trainers that you can move in.
