Young Melmoth
From an early age, Young knew her future was in art. After completing a Foundation course at Central Saint Martins in London, she discovered a passion for fine arts, especially inspired by animals she observed in nature, which became her first subjects.
Young is known for her willingness to experiment with different mediums and styles. Her artistic evolution led her from traditional Korean watercolors to contemporary abstract works, often using mixed media like oil paints. Constantly pushing boundaries, she explores new ideas and contrasts in her art.
Her five years in Paris were focused on animal sculpture, working with clays, pigments, and later bronze. Deeply concerned with animal welfare, her recent pieces reflect the tension between human impact and the survival of animal species.
