Christmas Stained Glass Workshop
Saturday 30th November, 10am-4pm
Come and join in with this enjoyable, creative and hands-on workshop. Using the jewel like qualities of stained glass you will make your own delightful Christmas decorations to hang on a tree or to stand in a window.
This is a guided workshop suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. At each stage in the process the tutor, Caroline, will begin with a practical demonstration so that everyone is clear what they need to do next.
You will have a choice of Christmas designs to work from including trees, stars, angels, robins, penguins, wreath, mistletoe, all of which are suitable for those with little or no experience.
At the end of the course, you will have learnt many new skills and will take home your very own Christmas ornaments to be proud of as well as a new skill for life!
The tutor will provide all the tools and equipment you need as well as a good selection of vibrant coloured glass for you to choose from. You will however need to bring your own apron, note book and something to wrap your finished pieces to take them home safely. Please also bring your lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Please note the workshop will entail working with lead-based solder so it is not suitable for pregnant or nursing mothers.
Caroline Lambert is a very experienced, enthusiastic and patient tutor who has taught Stained Glass at Kingshill House and other venues in all its various forms for over 20 years.
