Sing Mama Sing weekly sessions, Wednesday 4th - 25th October 11am - 12:30pm
Sing Mama Sing is a group which is focused on women singing together, with babies, pre babies or without babies.
Where babies are present, they will benefit hugely from experiencing their parent participating in singing, raising endorphin levels and joyfulness. Babies up to one year are welcome; for singing, harmony and connection - there will also be tea and coffee and time to chat.
This wonderful group is run and held by Mel of Playcircle and Sing Your Heart Out Stroud. During the hour and a half taster session, you will be singing old favourites and new, lullabies and uplifting, simple songs from around the world, in unison and harmony. Little ones can bathe in the sound while you sing to them – and you will build a resource for the future. Suitable for those with and without babes, dads and other carers - the group will be as flexible and accessible as possible.
Group singing has been proven to make a dramatic positive impact on mental health, physical health and community. Music is also great for babies, in all ways, for development, bonding and joy. At Sing Mama Sing, you get all the good stuff; singing’s immediate effects on mood, and its lasting effects on improving focus on posture and breath, releasing good feelings, forming bonds and connections between people.
Through singing together each week and learning simple harmony songs, lullabies and rounds, you will have a repertoire of songs to sing with your family for the rest of your life.
Every Wednesday, 11am - 12:30pm, from Wednesday 4th - 25th October.
