Traditional Botanical Drawing Workshop
Saturday 12 August, 10am-3pm
Join botanical artist Jenny Brooks for this one-day introductory workshop to botanical drawing and painting.
In the workshop, Jenny will be covering the drawing of simple plant forms which you will then intricately add colour to with either coloured pencils or watercolour paints. This detailed and precise style of drawing and painting uses nature as its inspiration, specifically focusing on botanical subjects. The emphasis for botanical drawing and painting is on essential observation and Jenny will guide you through the stages on how to produce beautiful art as you learn about different botanical art techniques.
This workshop will allow you to try out this addictive genre of art; whether you're an experienced artist or total newbie.
All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own watercolours and brushes if preferred.
This workshop is for botanical art beginners; however Jenny's current students are welcome to attend and continue to work on their projects under tutor supervision.
