Art Play - Family Workshop
Saturday 24 June, 10:30am-12pm
Join us in Art Play!
This wonderful family workshop, with Stroud-based artist Ruth Batham, is designed to get the creative juices flowing.
Come and make your own space character - real or imaginary or a mix of both - from collaged paper. Your young one will learn about complimentary colours and how to make colour pop. Beginning working in 2D, they will also be able to add to your character in 3D using googly eyes, split pins, concertina limbs. They will also have the chance to have their character photographed in a collaborative, group piece of art before taking them home.
All children and adults use the same initial stimulus and teaching points but are then encouraged to be creative and give their own individual responses.
Suitable for 5-11+ year olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The cafe will be open for tea, coffees and cakes.
'Pay what you decide' booking system from £4 - £6 per child/young person (ticket price includes the accompanying adult).
