Wednesday 15th, 22nd or 29th March, 10am-3pm
This is an outdoor project (there will be shelter if needed ) Participants will use hand and power tools to carve and decorate a large tree trunk to make a Totem pole featuring simple designs inspired by nature. Everybody is welcome and you don't need prior woodworking or craft skills - but if you do, great !
When we've finished on the last day, the plan is to put the pole up on site as a permanent piece of art for all to admire.
What to expect:
Wild Acres is a rural Community project tucked away in the Berkeley Vale surrounded by trees and fields- relaxing but inspiring. This project is going to be fun- we've never built a Totem pole before so it's going to be a learning curve for us all. Expect to be working as a team but where your individual ideas will be valued and incorporated into the design. You'll also pick up some useful craft skills and eat some tasty vegetarian food prepared in our outdoor kitchen. You might get a bit muddy, so dress for the outdoors! We look forward to meeting you.
This is limited to 8 people, so book early!
For adults.
Ideally you would join for all three sessions, but equally you can book for just one or two of them.
Booking essential.

Go up the lane and turn right opposite the first property you pass on the left, a bungalow. At the top of the track turn immediately left down another track. We are at the bottom of this. You will see the polytunnel and our wind generator as you approach.
