Spring Equinox Art Journaling Workshop
Saturday 25 March
The spring equinox is a perfect opportunity to start something new as daylight hours increase and the weather gets warmer. With a focus on nature, this art journaling workshop will enable you to explore what we can see and hear at this time of year, whilst increasing your confidence in drawing and teaching you some creative lettering techniques to use in your pages. If the weather allows we will do a little alfresco drawing too!
We encourage you to bring an object that symbolises the spring equinox for you, perhaps linked to nature, light, eggs, growth, renewal, flowers or love.
An optional spring tonic will also be included made from fresh herbs and flowers.
Meet the tutor:
Jo Beal is a Wiltshire based artist inspired by the countryside, people, places and life here in the UK or on travels abroad. In 2015 she purposefully reconnected with her own creative interests, primarily through drawing. She loves to draw from observation and to reflect on and capture my daily life through her Drawing Diaries.
Jo runs workshops in a range of settings, and online, supporting others to draw through building confidence, teaching new skills and techniques and encouraging a personal exploration and enjoyment of drawing. In contrast she makes carefully observed botanical studies, seeking to capture and emphasise colour, texture and shape.
