Animate With a Smartphone Workshop
Saturday 1 July, 10am-1pm
Calling all budding filmmakers!
Join Nigel, StopMo Studios, and his team for a morning of animation, and all you need is your phone!
Using your own smart phone and if possible, downloading the free phone app: Stop Motion Studio [Android or iPhone), the team will provide everything you need to create a film: landscapes, characters and personalised messages for your very own animation.
With this workshop, two (or more) minds can be better than one so we encourage collaboration. Each person will need their own ticket for the workshop but supervising adults go free.
In the workshop, Nigel and his team will cover visual storytelling, storyboarding and animating using a range of animation techniques such as articulated 2D cut-outs and dry wipe pens on a whiteboard. They'll show you how you set up an animation studio so you can continue to animate at home.
A great family activity, suitable for groups of all ages from 12 years old and up.
What do I need to bring?
- A mobile phone and a charger (there are a few spares)
