During this 3 hour workshop, guided by Kate King, you will create and design a selection of handcrafted book page gifts, using texts from the pages of recycled penguin classics.


Make and take home; a framed piece of badge art, two personalised and unique badges (each with their own presentation card and envelope) and a badge or pin greeting card.


Perfect as a Christmas gift - to either a loved one or yourself.

After studying art and literature at University, Kate King moved away from creative life to a career of public speaking, training and education. Still keeping her hand in with a range of creative projects, she started up The Original King Penguin in 2020. Having a large collection of classic Penguin books, Kate buys up tatty worn copies wherever she finds them, and recycles the pages to create original hand drawn and hand coloured art and gifts. With no page duplicated, each badge, frame, or piece of art is a one off original.
