Taijiquan & Qigong
Tuesday 12th July 7:30pm-8:30pm
A wonderful way to spend an evening at Kingshill House, where your instructor Joe will support you through gentle stretching, warm ups, forms, push hands and Neigong (internal work).
Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) is a Chinese martial art that uses gentle, flowing movements to create and balance inner energy (called Chi or Qi). It has mental, emotional and physical benefits, such as increased agility, self-confidence, better memory, and mindfulness.
Our moves sometimes may look like 'slow motion Kung Fu'. The core goal is always building and balancing our energy. Qigong exercises can support the healing of chronic illness, emotional stress, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Many Martial Arts (such as Kung Fu and Taji Quan) have borrowed and contain elements of Qigong.
This class is for all abiliites, and no experience necessary. No equipment needed - wear loose fitted clothing and light, flat shoes or trainers you can move in.
The cost of this workshop includes the cost of all materials.

Creative Summer School Soiree – Saturday 16th July, 6–8.30pm
At the end of the week, we welcome you to join us for a Summer School Soiree!
Students and tutors will be invited to exhibit their work at the House, enjoy a glass of fizz, and celebrate the variety of crafts made throughout the week. If you would like to exhibit the work that you have created during the Creative Summer School then please let your tutor or the Kingshill House team know. Works will be displayed for the Soiree evening only, and then you are free to take them home or collect them the following week.
