CHILDREN'S WORKSHOPS

Messy play is extremely important for a child’s development. It provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity.

Classes are designed to develop cognitive skills, body control, hand eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, confidence, material knowledge and colour recognition! Above all It is a fun and exciting group where we will be making a host of different art and craft activities. It is a great chance to spend precious time with your little one making and getting messy!
Included in the price of the session will be a healthy fruit snack and materials.

Timings are 10:00 - 10:45 or 11:15 - 12:00

Fabulously Funny Portraits


Using lots of folding, cutting and sticking skills our Little Makers and Painters will make these fun cards to keep or to give to someone special!

Please wear old clothes and an apron plus a large bag to carry your creation home. ​​

Handprint Keepsake Dish and Snake Coil Pot

Using your little creative’s hand as a template we will cut, press and shape the air-dry clay to create a beautiful bowl.
There will also be a chance to see how long you can roll the clay to produce a snake coil pot!
This is a great workshop that supports fine motor skills, producing gorgeous keepsakes.

Handprint Peacock Picture

Let’s make a handprint peacock poster for your room. We will be looking at colour mixing and pattern making using our hands! Children love experimenting with paint and learning what it feels like on their skin.

Puppy Puppet

Join us for this fun workshop. Using a variety of materials your Little Maker and Painter will construct a fantastic puppy for hours of imaginative play! This puppet will help develop verbal language, as they give a voice and a story to their puppy. Preschoolers can’t wait to share with you about the adventures their puppy will have. You will be also able to use the puppy puppet to stretch and grow your child’s thinking and verbal skills.
Your child will build self-confidence.  Your child will take pride and accomplishment in creative work!

Rainbow Bubble Snake Maker

Using recycled materials we will make our own bubble snake maker for fun and giggles and fantastic abstract pictures! If the weather is lovely we will paint outside in the garden.

Junk Modelling for the Imaginative! 


Creating an environment where children can use their imagination is extremely important for growing, inquisitive minds. We will use lots of recycled boxes, tubes, lids and tubs to make whatever we want! This could be a castle, train, house, boat, garage, machine or robot!
Treat your little one to this exciting session where fine motor skills are used to bring their ideas to life!
 
We have lots of stuff to use but please bring anything from home that inspires your child.
