Messy play is extremely important for a child’s development. It provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity.
Classes are designed to develop cognitive skills, body control, hand eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, confidence, material knowledge and colour recognition! Above all It is a fun and exciting group where we will be making a host of different art and craft activities. It is a great chance to spend precious time with your little one making and getting messy! Included in the price of the session will be a healthy fruit snack and materials.
Timings are either 10:00 - 10:45 or 11:15 - 12:00
30 January workshop - £6 per child We all need to find our inner super hero! We will make our own cape, creating a pattern with your child using handprints and exciting shapes! Come in your oldest clothes!
6 February workshop - £6 per child Raised salt painting. There is a little alchemy in this session. Your child will mix ingredients to create a wonderful sticking paste. We will then draw with it to create valentine inspired cards and pictures, dropping small amounts of watercolour into the drawings we will have beautiful rainbow coloured finished pieces. Both you and your child will love this!
13 February workshop - £6 per child The very hungry caterpillar! We will make our very own hungry caterpillar out of junk art, paint and create legs, antennae’s and the all important googly eyes! Your child will then carefully plant cress seeds into the main body. Over the next week you will be able to watch as the seeds grow to create a fluffy caterpillar, eventually cutting the cress to make a yummy lunch!
